The roles available are on a permanent and long-term basis, you will be contracted directly by Newfield Fabrication.

Overview
We are seeking skilled Press Brake Operators to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with sheet metal and possess mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain press brake machinery effectively.

Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
- Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform basic maintenance on machines to ensure smooth operation
- Checking height, depth and thickness using micrometres, dial indicators, callipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments

Requirements
- Proficiency in using hand tools and tooling specific to press brake operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the correct settings for each job and use dimensional measuring equipment to measure parts
- Good communication skills and problem solving skills
- Must have prior experience operating press machines in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as needed
