Newfield are a well-established and forward-thinking fabrication company that pride ourselves in being able to offer stable long-term employment in the area.

The roles available are on a permanent and long-term basis, you will be contracted directly by Newfield Fabrication.

Job Summary
As a Fabricator/Welder you will assist in the fabrication of steel products to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components using MIG techniques. If you have a passion for welding and possess the required skills, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured, carrying out dimensional inspection prior to welding
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures
- Communicate potential risk to quality and efficiency to your team leader
- Conduct quality checks on finished products
- Follow safety guidelines, carry out safety checks and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication
- Knowledge of mechanical principles
- Competent in using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with TIG welding is advantageous
